I just got back from a trip to Maine with one of my friends from high school. We rented a cabin on a lake and disconnected from the internet, our phones, and even time (we covered all of the clocks and hid our watches). It was really great to get away from feeling tethered to a constant stream of incoming information for a while. And it gave me a chance to take some new photos, including this one!
I found this rock while looking for good skipping rocks and couldn’t resist taking this shot!

I have a whole collection of leaf photos like this that used to hang around my college apartment. The foliage in Ithaca is fantastic and I would spend a pretty decent portion of the autumn season standing 3 inches from the leaves taking macro shots. I especially love the colors that meld together in the background. Can’t wait til fall gets closer so I can post some more!

The latest print in my Etsy shop: Beachfront Sunset. I took this photo a few years ago (2007 according to Flickr) and I’ve always loved the magical quality it has. I know the golden hour is a bit of a cliche, but this is one of the few times I’ve managed to capture it!
The original photo was a bit more straight-forward, but I figured I’d experiment a bit with post-processing here and I think it really brings out the magical quality without over-doing it!
Oh Hello There!
Thought I’d put up a place to talk about photography and my Etsy shop. This is mostly an experiment, but we’ll see how it goes!
